PROGAM: The ASCENT Leadership Lab experience covers 9 months from August to May (December off) with the central goal of growing and multiplying:

  • Multiplying Leaders: "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Pray to the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out laborers into his harvest." Everywhere we look, there is a shortage of strategic and enterprise-level leaders. We want to be part of the solution.

  • Developing Under-resourced Leaders While we have leaders from all backgrounds, we do want to particularly support under-resourced leaders including women, people of coloar, and non-western church leaders.

Value Proposition

  • WHAT do we provide? A unique offering that addresses and integrates both spiritual and strategic leadership development

  • to WHOM? Alliance leaders around the world (and some select non-Alliance partners)

  • at what COST? About $2,000 for the 9-month experience (plus travel costs). We do help under-resourced leaders through limited scholarship dollars and fund-raising help.

Monthly Activities

  • Weekly Email with Video content, and reflection questions for you and your triad. Your triad is a group of three that interacts through the 9-month lab experience.

  • Monthly Individual Mentor-Coaching Calls are your time to connect with your mentor-coach as you go deeper into the monthly topics.

  • Monthly Group Mentor-Coaching Calls are an opportunity for group discussion on monthly topics.
     

The ACE Model

This is not a graduate-level, academic program where you learn too much and apply too little. While most of our participants already have a graduate degree, our focus is more on life-transforming spiritual formation and strategic thinking, and application through a leadership lab experience using the ACE Model.

  • Academic Learning (Formal and Informal): Each week/month, there are small modules of learning that combine concepts, vocabulary, personal reflection, and application

  • Coaching and Cohort: Each participant will meet with their mentor-coach each month, as well as interact with a triad group and the entire cohort. This happens through individual and group calls.

  • Experience in Real Life: The goal is to put into action all that you are learning in ways that are meaningful and impactful for you and your team.

  1. Understanding Yourself and an overview of spiritual and strategic Leadership

  2. Growing your spiritual capacities through spiritual formation processes

  3. Growing your strategic capacities through advancing your strategic thinking and processes

  4. Raising up and Managing Human Resources (Recruiting and managing a quality team)

  5. Raising up and Managing Financial Resources (Fundraising and financial management)

  6. Seeking innovation through collaborative work with others (Getting better with others)

  7. Starting New Endeavors (What new things do you and your team need to start?)

  8. Developing Diverse Leaders and Teams (Diverse teams are better when they work together well)

  9. Building a forward pathway for continued spiritual and strategic growth

  • The ASCENT Leadership Lab is not an open-enrollment program. Applicants must be referred to the program by someone else.
